Hey guys sorry I haven't been on been way to busy so the story is was traveling home prob sitting on 120kmph max and next thing I no a cop sitting behind a tree gets me with his radar gun and pulls me over. Claims I was doing 174 kmph I giggled and said I wish I could go that's fast he showed me the radar gun which said 174 I said your gun is busted he fined me and was on his way :( but he only put me down for under 30 so I keep me licence so I have no idea will fight it and c what I can do

Generally there are two readings displayed on the rear of a lidar, one being the speed and the other being the range. Are you sure that the 174 was not the range? I think this may be your issue???

If you were alleged to be doing 174kph in 100kph area you would be sitting in a nice cell for one, not getting a ticket for >20kph because your a nice guy! At the end of the day your options are explained on the rear of the ticket, pay it and move on or Court elect it and seek some professional legal advice.

Move along, nothng to see here........... :)

Not really but if it got contested the officer would provide a copy of the recording to the court if they had one.

I'd still love to know what the ticket actually says. Does it mention the 174? Or is it just 130+

Still up to your old tricks Jarrad? I leaven't been on the forum for a while and come back to see what's the latest and see this. made a good read I must say..couldn't help but giggle  ...your like a magnet to these cops..

But agreed with "scotta_74" 174 is the range not the speed. Hence you got the ticket for 130. Learn from your mistakes Pay the fine and move on.
