is the guy allowed to criticise the car,
he is there afterall to assess your driving.

i know if the cars not roadworthy its fine to cancel the test

I don't think he liked me in the first place, me and mum got there 20mins early and went to the window and he said oh go have a seat and I'll call you.. So we sat just next to the window (we were out of view of the window, but right next to it) and bout 15mins later we hear him call us.. So we go up and hes like: "Where were you? I've called you 4 times.." and he was getting all shitty.. me and mum heard him once. So I don't think he liked me straight away. Do they get paid on a per test basis? Maybe its in their best interest to fail people.. more money? haha ahhh well doesn't matter, hopefully next time.

hmmm
thats rubbish big honk
were you comfortable in that car cause i had to drive my fathers old 96 bluebird 8) which at the time id hardly ever driven, and i was very uncomfortable in it, at the best of times. i just got told that instead of doing 40-45 in a 50 zone, i should have been doing 50 :? and apparently its a 'bad' thing for the test.
so if you did good, go and have a go at them, but im sure could happen in your favour, so apparently you said it doesnt matter, BUT it does

I failed my p's first time too because of my car. I was going to do them in my instructors car, but i was uncomfortable driving it. Even the instuctor recommended it, because in my car i was very confident.

Problem was to do with my gear changes, mainly when i was doing a right from a stop. The rev's werent high enough to change into second BEFORE i staarted to turn, and you're not supposed to change gears halfway around the corner because you have 'no real control of teh car" (or so i'm told...have no problem doing it now), so i had to change into second after the corner...which meant the revs were too high. This happened at every corner.

My instructor told me to dispute it, because what i was done on was bull**** (the tester hadn't been working as a tester for long-was overly picky on everything), but it didn't work. I found the test to be less stressful the second tiem around, though.

i had a heaps good tester.

she said i almost failed, because i pulled out from my hill start as a car was coming up the hill. She goes the "the only reason i let it go was beacuse you managed to accelerate quickly. i thought that was funny, cos i had plenty of time to pull out, and i was in a MINI cooper s, its easy to accelerate in.

The RTA are a bunch of wankers.
I took my little sister to get do her P's test yesterday (her second try).
And they failed her even though she got 90% the guy even said she was a good driver but she took too long to jump into the flow of traffic leaving the car park.
I had taken her for a hr drive before and she's a bloody good driver.
Apparently she has to wait another 2 months due to bookings and she has just waited 3 months.I think they just want the money and the power trip.
There are so many crap drivers out there but they fail for shitty reasons.

I was really pissed off for her and for you too hOnk.
