You could try joining the Vic. Mini Club at www.mini.org.au and then you would get their monthly mag which always has parts etc. for sale.

Hi All!

My name is Ray and I live in Perth WA. My wife Erin and I became bitten by the Mini bug about six months ago when we became the proud owners of Candy, our 1972 Clubman.

Our little Clubby had some hidden surprises that we are still finding out, such as a polished and ported head, race cam, high lift roller rockers, uprated diff the list goes on.
We have fitter a 40DCOE Weber replacing the twin SU's, fitted LCB extractors with a straight through 2" exhaust with a Lukey ultraflow mufler and 3" tip. Sounds and runs great now!

I'm currently working on a customised dash, and next on the list of things to do is fully adjustable suspension to replace the tired old hydrolastic suspension.

I had Candy Dyno tuned the other day, and she is putting out 85bhp @ 6000rpm at the wheels, (about 100bhp at the flywheel?!) so she is a bit of fun to drive and quite able to wipe the smiles off the faces of some of the young hoons in their V8's around perth. Oh the satisfaction.

Well, I'm glad I managed to stuble across this site, it looks like a great resource that I'll be using a heap!

Check out the following pics of Candy.....

Ciao Ray.

Yes that is my race car. 1964 Cooper fitted with 1380. Ex Ray Molloy. I've owned the car since 1989. I can't post any photos at the moment as they are all prints. You know, that old fashioned stuff.

Can you upload photos directly onto this site?

Steve

You can scan the prints and then join up to a free hosting service like Photobucket on the net....then just upload to Photobucket and copy the URL for your pictures and post em between two [Img]s

in Photobucket if you hit edit ...it will suggest the correct size reduction for the image...(by a percentage)

a 100 X 100 pixel avatar could be uploaded.. :D

Hey thanks guys!

It's a 1972 Clubman, unfortunately not a GT, but i'm trying to make it look as much like one as I can hence the GT badge up front.

Its running a Morris engine with a 12Yd Ta H9594 head i'm not sure if thats from a gt or not?... lots to learn yet.....

ciiao ray,
