Yah i remember reading that one day.
Sounds like a fun idea,

any second hand rotting old pulsar dissy 8)
ill print that out tonight and deliver tomorrow evening

I also took the old starter motor off the old wrecked clubby we had down, cause my starter motor was a little bit hammered and a bit wobbly, so they are getting looked at also.

WOOHOO

80 days since ive driven this little mini :? :(
Fair dinkum thats a fair long time indeed

all i hope now is i dont get a $3000 labour bill  :!:
And a $5 per night overnight charge for it staying there,
Although, they have fairly well assembled the workshop around the mini,
cause they basically moved workshop the day the mini went in.
And its a permanent feature of their work now :!:

Well Well Well Well Well Well Well Well Well Well Well :!:

how so very interesting

I call in there today, basically just to be a sticky beak
well it is my car
so

And BANG
sitting on the table is basicallly a complete engine :!: 8)
Fair dinkum it almost looked sexy
So its basically all together.

The only thing they are waiting on is the distributor.
But ive looked around and have been offered one of the N12 electronic ones for $90 from wreckers, i think i laughed and said bye
So i said
that can wait
and they said yeah they will just put the old one back in for a little bit and it will work alright for now.

But also i am waiting on some Twin carbies the 1/1/4" i bought them of 'clubmn',
payed on tuesday or monday?
But havent heard from him since
Should still be all fine :!: 8) :P
But thats about it
pretty close to being ready

I didnt know the gearbox was back

But the other people had pulled the gearbox apart and replaced a fair money taking shaft with one from my other gearbox, which was in good condition, which they say saved me a lot of money again,

And i asked about the total cost,
will it start with a 2, a 4 or an 8
and he laughed and said the other guy (his father) was doing most of it, so he didnt know
But somewhere in the 2's he said for his bill.
Ive payed $1,000 of it so far
so
its all interesting
and its getting pretty close to being a driver,

I hope :!: :D

YAY :D

But behave yourself

Hoon crackdown triggers excuse boom

THE need to show off to the opposite sex proved too much for a young Tasmanian driver, who was nabbed by police for doing a burnout outside a school formal so he could impress the gathering girls.

Tasmania police say their festive-season crackdown on hooning has resulted in numerous arrests, and some interesting excuses, which have included such gems as:

* "I just put in a reconditioned engine and was trying it out";
* "I wasn't on the brakes, the car uses a lot of oil when it is under pressure";
* "I have problems with my differential"; and
* "I was just trying to make a name for myself".

My mate did that in his 300zx
got let off lightly
and because the copper didnt impound his car as he first threatened
My mates car is now no driveable
a week or so after putting it through the fence
He decided to loop it around and smash into a gutter 'drag' racing around a corner with a little NX Coupe :D
Stupid bastard
so $900 worth of suspension and wheel parts from Japan
Poor boy

also funny on the Highway i live on
3 P platers must have been having a bit of a poke,
they have an 80km/h speed limit,
one was doing abuot 137, other 120's and the other was about 115 from memory.
Great fun and it wasnt me

And i am getting the engine painted red :P

Just for randomness, with the silver rocker cover
I dunno why or something
i was put on the spot and i panicked :? :)

it'll be good to see how that comes up though

I will be nice to it

Ring the wrecker and say "I will give ya 40 bucks fer da dizzy..... CASH!" It may be worth a try, or he might hang up!
With a bit of luck he may abuse you first and then hang up.

Some wreckers you need to haggle. You know how to haggle? 8)

Its not going to work
His name around the street (the wreckers) is 'goldfinger'
and when i told the bloke at work
He said
Yep that will be right

I was talking to the Garmo
and he told me about 50 for the dizzy and a coil
I told the wreckers that
And they said
Well you're better off going elsewhere
I said yes

Haggling isnt going to work at this place :P

How good is that mate..box, block and head done 8)
Nice surprice..just waiting for a couple of thing..which is alwyas the case..but atleast it can go back in now.,.and the additional stuff can be put on after the engine is in..
Keep looking...yer nothing over $60 don't forget it needs modifing and it may need a new cap, rotor and leads

All im waiting on mow are the Twin carbies that i assume are coming from Melbourne, 'clubmn' , at some stage
It may be put in tomorrow
if not it will wait till the end of the week
but rather close and its good!

Here is where it has been sitting for the last 3 months or whatever its been

Its pretty dirty inside the engine bay, so i think ill get in there and scrub it up later, when i quit work in a week, to have a month of before University. Ill scrub it and paint the engine bay up a little bit with the engine in, if i can
And make it much more presentable
Image

And then ill go and enquire about getting a few patches of rust fixed.

Good fun
