If anyone is looking for a fire extinguisher for this event check out Bunnings. They have the one you need. It actually says CAMS approved on the box!

Check the manufacturing date on the extinguisher BEFORE you buy it as they are only acceptable for two years.

On another note anyone entering needs to be Very careful. PI is very very fast. You dont feel it when you are driving around but if you leave the circuit at speed you can find the walls very quickly.

It would be a good idea to watch your mirrors. Most of the Group N Mini's will be in the handicap as well and circulating very quickly! Just remember Mr Girt has Carbon Kevlar brakes and balls of steel so he WILL outbrake you at Honda! :o

And remember to have a good weekend :D

Regularity is about consistancy !!!!!!!!

Who runs Carbon Kevelar pads !, Not me, Good old Pagids RS14 do the trick !, Are you suggesting I should change to some new super dooper Carbon kevlars then ?

My time will be set at about 2.35,

What are the Pagids made from? I thought they were all Carbon Kevlar these days?

If you are doing 2.35 you mustn't be using 4th!

I'd like to see you try and win the handicap with that time. I don't think you could consistently drive that slow! :)

You could be right about the Pagids.
Their website states:

Pagid pads are produced in a total of seven different material formulations - each one, the product of thousands of hours of testing and development work.

Obviously secretive stuff!

Yes Historic Racing S and number 38!

It could end up being my grid position at Phillip Island by the look of the field.

9yatah,

The Under 3ltr HTC "race" is 55 cars, Commen sense would suggest two hands !

1.1 is actually the mid apex and alots happening, I must admit, In the 10 years Ive raced at the island Ive never attempted it single handed !!!!!, Maybe time for a change, Just dont mention it to CAMS !

Not a problem...I know where it is and how fast and committed you have to be to do it right...but

I'll make an extra effort to wave, on the cool down laps that it, I generally not really interested in taking my hads off the wheel at 1.1, Ive flagged there many years ago !

Relax girtp....you are in a Mini :D

Heres an idea :!: :!: :!:

If there are any Mini people in town on Saturday night....how about eventually gravitating to the Isle of Wight and wearing something with a Mini theme or badge or whatever 8) :D

The IoW is super noisey in places but you can be heard if you shout

That would be great. Each year my old man and I end up having dinner on our own surrounded by various race teams with no mini people in sight. I always wear my VMCI shirt into town at night or a jacket with mini badges on it so I hope to meet some ausmini people there. For anyone that doesn't know The Isle of Wight is the big white hotel at the end of the main street on the right as you face the water looking out to the pier. Should we meet up in the bar right on the corner? They have food in there too.

I'll be in for that - I need to book myself a camping site too, I hope I'm not too late or I might need to find a backyard to camp in!
