This argument has been done to death before....but hey.....what's another opinion?
This is the scale:
Perfectly original Cooper S kept in a bubble it's entire life and done 100 ks.
But through some irony, will never win a concourse but will always demand the most money but we never know
what they change hands for.
Almost original Cooper s but so perfectly restored it has no blemishes whatsoever. Wins big trophies and changes hands for big money but never looked like anything that came out of Zetland.
Down to every other Cooper S's at various stages of condition and originality.
I would buy none of the above cars. The first two would scare me to death to drive in case I should damage them.
But I would buy and drive a carefully built replica and would
be happy to pay a premium for the right numbers.......As long as I knew that was the case.
And I would also pass this info on to a future buyer.
For two reasons....I'd feel guilty if I didn't and someone will for sure find out down the tract.
