Cut the firewall even more to get the HIF44 down enough to stop the air leak..... Thanks kev for the extra pair of ears along with the conversation which helped to alleviate the cold fingers......

Scrapper is back on the road. Thanks to GR who helped me tune it a little better. Also for finding the steering arm being very very loose..... Funny how it was all tight before i went to Hay.... this concerns me....

Good oil pressure 80lbs - the new bearings are working well.
Found the gears easily - appear to have fixed the problem of the idler gear binding due to clutch housing gasket being too thin.
:D
Short drive around the block and all is so far good.

Need to adjust the carbies and play around with the timing but so far going well.

Bought the steel for my rotisserie. It was expensive, mainly the central tube - especially since I'd walked past an apparently unwanted pole the right size on the way home several times but didn't have the balls to nick it. It was galvanised and just lying in the gutter for a couple of weeks.

But having thought through my plans for the rotisserie, I think I might need another couple of lengths of 50x75 RHS, as I want it to be a worthwhile project and hopefully useful to others in the local club.

Will post pics once I've done it.

Got a mate of mine http://www.rae-lineqld.com.au/ to do up my interior.
Took everything out yesterday, dropped it off and picked it all up today.
Full leather with suede inserts, door trims front and rear as well.
New rear parcel shelf and panel under the rear seat for speakers.
If you ever need any work on your interior these guys are brilliant.

What do you think?

Finished off some small things on the 850 I did work on for a friend then got to work on the clubbie that I suspected to have blown a head gasket on the MOCQ "Christmas in July" run to Stanthorpe last weekend. Took the engine out and stripped it down and sure enough, a blown head gasket. Why engine out you may ask but I had some other maintenance work pending so will get all done at the same time.

Vaccuumed the dirt out, cleaned the windows and basically everything inside, topped up the oil and water, pumped the tyres up and and marvelled all afternoon at how clean it looked for it's big trip to melbourne tomorrow.

I feel like a proud mother getting the kid ready for it's first day at school!
