G'day All..

Like many I've been blousing for a while, and decided it was aboot time I started posting. Have always wanted to restore a mini, and after a recent 3 year holiday in Merry Ol' England, I came back with the determination to start, I just wish I had of packed my suitcase full of parts before I came back (Bangs head against wall!!)

Anyway, I purchased a '69 roundie a month or so ago and have it almost ready to go in to the body shoppe in the next week (finger crossed). It's still a few months off being completed, which is killing me as I've not driven it yet. :(

Great forum you guys have here, packed full of usefull stuff.

Cheers

Mat

hello, my name is Sebastian and I'm 20. I'm a mechanical engineering student at Swinburne TAFE here in Melbourne.
I picked up a "camino gold" 73 clubman last week, and I'm still trying to figure things out about it.

hi all, im mel, im 20 and live in hobart. i have a 1978 leyland mini i bought about a month ago. i love it and i cant wait to get some cash together to start doin stuff to it. i got a sports steernig wheel the other day and got it home then realized i didnt have a socket big enough to take the nut off to get the old one out! i was so disappointed! i had to take it to the mechanics and get them to do it, and of course its on crooked now so i will have to take it back! anyway i have huge plans for it! i got set of extractors cheap as so i cant wait to put them on and get a lush sounding exhaust. i also have flares sittin on my bedroom floor ready to put on when i get some mags which will go on when i get the right brakes! so yeah, i have plans, hopes and dreams for my beast, i hope that it all goes well and i dont prang the damn thing too soon!

gaz.
brisbane.
also known as one half of "the mokemen"(now ceased).
1st car was a 62 mini 850 (lasted 2 weeks), since had about 200 minis and mokes.
think minis are ok but a pain in the arse.
mokes are for real men.
