Nope, whatever you'd like. If you want more, my estimated price will go up.
I wouldn't be making any profit out of these, giving you the best price and me something to do in my spare time.
Basically, you'd tell me how much you'd like to spend, and I'll build a car to reflect that price. EG
$150= standard car, with radio gear.
$200= upgraded car to have Electronic speed controller and possibly bearings
$250= upgraded again with more powerful motor.
This is only a guide, the car can be made to your specs.

If I get anyone interested, I'll order a couple of cars, and if people decide they don't want them anymore, I'll keep em. One day I'll post pics of my various cars, so you can admire my work.

OK, I have 2 tamiya minis brand new I can get rid of (more if there's a rush), they aren't built, painted or anything.

$100 if you want them at this stage. They are still coming from hong kong, so you can't have them next week. Once I get them, I'll build em and possibly fit a few extra parts for speed, but the price will go up.
The catch with the cheap price is that I'll be keeping the tamiya shell, and replacing it with a Frewer shell. I post some photos so you can see the difference, but basically, the frewer car looks more like a road mini than the tamiya one, as it has bumpers, and lower sitting arches.

$100 is without radio gear.
Frewer shells are not usually more than $35

I'll sell the rolling chasis' for $70, or even part the cars out.
You could get any combination of stuff off me, like speed controls, bearings, chrome rims faster motors, whatever.

What are people thinking?

Thats fine.

My plan is to build, paint and upgrade (?) the car to the new owners specs.
That's what I do. Build cars. The following cars I have built, but not yet driven:

HPI MT
HPI Rally Suzuki Escudo
Tamiya M-03 MINI
Tamiya M-03 mini
HPI Lamborghini Murcielago on a Kyosho chassis.

I also have a 1994 Tamiya Rover mini, unbuilt.
My room looks like a caryard.

I have a new frewer shell and new M-03 bearing set here, and a used but working electronic speed controller. $100 the lot, I can't flex on that price as the ESC is not mine. If you only want a mechanical speed control, that'll be $65 the lot.

Tamiya shell above left, Frewer Shell above right.

Hmmm. I like the red shell alot. The bumpers look good. (better in chrome, maybe?)

Blue one is still WAY cool though. 8)

Im gonna rack your brain here.....
Are you using chrome paint for the grilles??? Is it LEXAN safe (flexable)?? And would it be safe for me to use Tamiya Leaxan aerosol paint over it without having it react badly??? Can you give me the chrome paint's details so I can buy some..... please :)

Chrome is all I need so I can start painting my petrol RC mini shell

The red car has a plastic chrome grille off a tamiya car in there.

The blue car has a few layers (about 3/4 jar) of Alclad 2 chrome paint ($15). This has to be airbrushed on, then backed with gloss black polycarbonate paint to work.
The alclad is the best chrome paint I've ever seen, it is the same, if not better than the factory painted chrome rims I put on the blue car.
Because of the shape of the grille, minor imperfections won't be noticed.

So what do we get for $70? the electricals of the car? tyres etc. but no radio gear or shell?
And thats for the tamiya m-03 isnt it?

$70 would get you the basic tamiya M-03 chassis.

No electronics, except stock 540 motor, if you don't want it take another $5 off.
No body shell, or window masks.
I also have have signwriting vynil which I use on my cars for various graphics when I can't be bothered to paint them, will include that if desired. Black only.
The graphics on the car below were done vith vynil, and the good thing is if you stuff up, it peels off! Some of you may recognise this car from the Burnout games.
