have seen some new members of late on here so i thought i would bring this register back to the front page. Please give me your details if you own a 1275LS for my register.

I have 30 cars on the register at the moment and i really cant see that there would be anymore than 50 1275LS (both silver and gold) left in Australia. and thats from an initial production of 998 cars.

Regards
Chris

Hello Chris.
Some info for LS owners to inspect there LS regularly for the dreaded RUST...
Have just had this removed from the LS.
1. Behind the door hinges. It did not look too bad, just the usual "tell tale" rust spot starting to show. When doors removed and hinges removed, the rust was worst than expected.
Image
2.Back window glass lower lip.
3.Side window lower lip underneath the weatherstrip. You have to pull up the weatherstrip to ckeck for the rust spot, half way along the lip.For some reason the water must sit there.Must be a low point in the panel.
Hope info is helpful.

Al,

When y LS was done, i had the same small rust spot on the rear window, in the middle. It was in total about 10mm x 3mm...

Not a mini motor, it is a Morris 1100S motor.

Hi Everyone,

i have just bought a LS 1275. Dont have the specs at this stage. I am off to pick it up this weekend and will let everyone know the specs. Unfortunatly this one will take a lot of time to get it back up the speed. It is a Hi-Ho silver model from 1978 and from what i can gather it is in one of the last production runs. But i wont know until i get all the details.

have about 35 on there now..

Adsmini thanks for the details (do you have the engine number by any chance?)
that is not really one of the last ones of the production line, it does have al ate vin number, but not as late as others... the 12/78 that you see does not show that it was one of the last, merely that it was complied at a later date... the actual ones that are the very last ones with a special plaque start from approximately 105270.. but there could be 100 difference in numbers from that to the very last, as they were not complied in sequence.. i have the 3rd last on the register which is lucky.~~~ :D
