Hi guys my name is Shayne I'm from Balcatta in WA about ten minutes north of Perth I own an 88 mayfair, had it for about 3 months now and love it but now the other half thinks that we should try and get a van as well. It's pretty good she usually doesn't let me do things like this, so now to be able to afford another mini I have to go work at the mines up north, it's wierd the things people will do for cars but I'm not complaining.

Hiya Shayne! Sounds like the disease is catching eh?
You'll soon have a driveway full of minis.

Good to see the WA numbers are increasing - we'll soon overtake those
"Hills District, Sydney" mob

If ya get the chance, post some pics of the clubby up in the member's gallery, I'm sure that they'd be appreciated. Just in case you're wondering how to post pictures on Ausmini, here's some instructions;

hey people, my names geoff and im from melbourne. i own a 1970 mini k (one of the last ones with clubman rear tail lights and lift up door handles)
im 22 years old and have had mini's since i was 16, i have gotten 3 friends onto mini's aswell.
my mini has a 1275A+ metro turbo engine, 12x5.5 superlights, 8.4in solid metro brakes, alloy rollcage, 4 lucas fog lights (2 fogs and spot on front and lucas boot mounted reverse light on rear)
its a bit more special then other mini k's because from factory is has a cooper s front panel (diagnol bar behind grill) and also has factory boot board brackets.
i bought it as a rolling shell and took it to a workshop in melbourne which i agreed to work at for free if they helped me gain knowledge about mini's.
anyways thanx for listening. im sure you will hear many questions from me and i hope can answer yours
geoff

Hi Geoff

PS pay no attention to that speedy fellow
As his signature says "There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
and look who's on the wrong side of the fine line:

hi ,
my name is kim just thought i would introduce myself , i live in armadale wa & am currently doing up my 76 clubman panelvan it is a 1100 but would like a 1275 but not that easy to come by , i also am the secretary of the commodore car club that my husband was a member of before he passed away in feb this year from cancer so the club has taken up alot of my spare time & because we have had days at the AHG driver training center it has given me the inspiration to get the van back on the road & show these commodore guys how a real car handles .

p.s im chasing rear bumpers if anyone has any

Hi Kim !

Glad you could join us.
Shame to hear that your husband passed away
even greater shame that you're affiliated with the commodore car club

Still, if you have a question, just ask :D

Mike

PS try the "Wanted" section for the bumpers
