Pulled subframes out on Convertible mini, pulled everything else off, gonna finish pulling bits off subframes tonight then strip them back and paint them up a nice shiny black. Hmm...shiny...

Not sure what to do ith the shell - strip myself or get it blasted. I'll see how bored i get after doing the subframes.

Pumped up the suspension on my Cooper S as it was sitting on the bump stops. Recently purchased pump worked a treat, although the vacuum pump doesnt work. Doesn't seem to need the vacuum prior to pumping.

Purchased pump from another ausmini member a few months ago. I am happy cause I now have my own pump ... and the pressure gauge works. Just need to find some one in Sydney who can give it a service and possibly fix the vacuum pump.

I did a bit more metal prep ahead of etch priming the body. Had a lazy day and took my bike for a ride instead of treating rust.

Took my Cooper S for a drive after the engine rebuild and fixed the clutch problem.
Brilliant! :D
Best its been for 2 years since last rebuild.
Replaced the Camshaft, RE13 to replace the Kent Megadyne 286, now has power just below 2000rpm.
Gearbox and gear selection is great. Nice and smooth since I replaced the clutch housing gasket with the correct thickness and provided the idler gear with approx 7 thou clearance.
Pumped up the suspension and it now rides a lot smoother as it is not sitting on the bump stops.
Very Happy.
Now I'm off to the UK for 4 weeks to check out the IMM 2009 and a few mini shows.
Just hope it stops raining while we are camped at the IMM.
