Hi All, I am cleaning up a 202 head and when I remove the valve spring there is this o-ring thing that prevents the valve coming out. Attachment: 20200626_145208.jpg What is this? Where can I get replacements for this? I can't find any mention of them at any of the usual online places (unless I'm mistaken for what it is). Thanks |

Looks like an old rubber valve stem oil seal. |

I’d just replace them with modern valve stem seals, they actually work ![]() |

They are included in head gasket sets. Used only with the wide collet groove valves. 850-997-998-1098. As said above 1275 valve seals can be fitted, but the original valve guides don't have a retaining groove for them. Use some Loctite on the guide. |
