I'm looking at replacing the Solex Mikuni carb for my mini when I finally have it running and came across the FAJS Weber. I looked on the Weber website which said that it is a Chinese copy of the weber 40dcoe but not up to the same standard. But looking around at different Weber carb set ups and nearly all that I seen in packages use the FAJS carb.

Does anyone have any experience using this carb?

Are they any good? Or just junk?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

My friend James had a couple
The first IDF copy leaked fuel out of the carb body and had to get replaced
The DCOE copy was just poor quality - threads were really soft

A good condition used Weber or Dellorto is my choice. Other people might have been lucky with the FAJS ones

I agree with Dr. A second-hand Weber or Dellorto with a kit put through it will always be better then a poor quality replica.
