Hi all, i have a modified 1380 with twin hs4s. Looking for recommendations to get it tuned in brisbane or gold coast. Can anyone give a rough estimate on dyno tuning? Would 300 to 500 cover it? I have called a few and they seem very tight lipped about price. I realize every car is different. I dont care too much about hp figures, i just want it to run well so dyno tuning is not essential Anyone had readspeed or the classic car clinic tune your cars?

readspeed / Matt Read is pretty well regarded and offers a lot of advice on here... that's probably where I'd go if I was up your way

I have never heard a substantiated bad word about the work done by Matt and Readspeed. Like Simon that would be my first choice.

For a full dyno tune I can recommend Kelvin at CNJ Motorsport, 102 Kingston Road, Underwood, 4119. Ph 07 32903966. Cheers, Ian

Matt doesn't have a dyno he sends out. I know Matt does send his car to Chris Romano at Bob Romano Performance. I have been using Chris for the race cars for years and he is second to none. Very careful and supremely knowledgeable when it comes to old school cars. I would expect it to take a little longer than your budget has allowed for. If you are running SU's let him know prior to turning up so he can discuss what you already have in the carbs and engine. You may need an alternative set of needles to have with you (saves time running around getting some if he doesn't have your size there) Time is money on a dyno and Chris does take his time but he is a very cautious operator. You get what you pay for.

Good advice...alternatively, just turn up and do a run to determine where the tune is at with the existing engine configuration...if Chris says its too rich or lean then try another set of needles (maybe)...
