Purchased new wiring loom for Mini K / Mk 2 Copper S. Didn't state that it was for a Dynamo. Expected one for an alternator. What's involved to make it compatible ?

In case you are thinking of returning it the Mini K and MK II S both had an alternator from first production, never a generator. If that's what the supplier was meant to supply and what it says on the package then they got it wrong. Can they fix it for you?

I bought this loom from England, so returning it could be difficult under this current climate. Ill email them and see where I stand, and why the description wasn't clearer.

Ah well the UK MK2 still had a generator so that checks out.

Are you using an original alternator with an external regulator or a new combined unit?

When I converted mini deluxe from generator to alternator I followed something like this

https://www.minimania.com/HOW__TO_CONVE ... ALTERNATOR

I ended up keeping the regulator in place and soldering the internals, but the principle would be the same. Should be a matter of connecting those wires and dropping the earth as outlined. (Assuming there isn’t anything else different on the uk wiring loom)

Thanks, switching from generator to alternator looks like a common mod. Ill give it a crack.
