Hi, Can anybody please let me know the correct location for the front angle brace on a 1970 Mk2 S. I am replacing the front panel (It had an incorrect later fitted) and would like to put it in the right spot.

Thanks

Dave.

When I visited Ron Williams little museum and workshop in Tenterfield in 2013. Didn’t know me from a bar of soap, but took the time to show me around. Wonderfull man, but I digress.
Took measurements for installation of the cross brace. 4” (100mm) from the inner panel at the lower and 8” (200mm) at the top. He even cut of a piece of the brace material he uses in resto’s.
