Just looking at the Clubman GT on EBAY (item 4567411240 can't paste the link ) and I was wondering if it is authentic. A few things have raised concern, particually in the questions from buyer's. The engine no. he has given is from a 1100 s and I don't know where the vehicle ID is from ? ( YG 257 7054 )
Any idea's ?
At $5500 I'd hope the buyer could get his money back, if it was found to be a replica.

definately a replica,gts were yg2s8 body code,never seen that color and i wouldnt think you would paint it a non standard color,wrong engine type,wrong door and seat trims,no oil cooler,cheapo flares,emission gear that shouldnt be there just to list a few basic things

The Vin number that he quotes is wrong because he has misread it. It would not be yg257 7054 but YG2S7 7054 and that is the prefix for the Mini Clubman and not the GT. The GT prefix is YG2S8.

The engine number is a Morris 1100S engine. The GT should have a 1200 prefix.

It looks like a standard clubman that is being sold as a GT. Let the buyer beware.

Thanks guy's you have confirmed what I thought.
I knew the GT had the prefix YG2s8 and I assumed he had misread it as YG2s7, but I didn't know if 2s7 was an eariler type GT. I also picked up on the interior and the flares. It always get's me how people swear they are genuine, when it has obvious sign's that it isn't.

Does minimport's still have the blue GT for sale ? I wish I had the cash, but I don't at the moment.
