Has anyone had any success removing the innards/wiring in the stalk of a Leyland Mini indicator stalk. My horn push is dead, I have traced to wiring issue back to the wiring in the stalk, where I think the wiring has burnt or lost contact. I want to replace the wires through the stalk but there is a plastic piece stuck in place at the horn push end, with the black horn switch unscrewed at the end. I don't really want to buy a new stalk assembly.

I have uploaded an image of the button with the horn push removed.

Can these be taken apart any further?
