A couple of helpful posts below. The first is for the Clubman style door but many things are common with your earlier version.

There's also a good article in one of the Workshop Manuals.

Maybe timmy201 can send you a copy of the Gregory's pages about doors. My copy is elsewhere and not accessible.

I can email you a copy if you send me a PM with your email address. Might be later tonight by the time I can dig out the manual.

If anyone wants the hard copy:
Gregory manual #64 covers round nose style roll up windows
Gregory manual #02 covers flappy handle doors 1971-1978 (inc late Mk2)

I think the “scientific publications” manual #64 is the same as the Gregorys but I’d have to double check

I forgot the chrome strips that hold felt/glass rubber and not mentioned in the manual. My tip is these go on first, then triangular piece goes in. The first door i put back together i left them until last, but they were a mongrel to get back on once 1/4 glass in place. I made it happen but it involved a block of wood, a hammer and much swearing :(

I also found the drivers door return spring was a pain. I looped 30cm string over the hook so i could pull it over the retaining screw.

I did mine over the xmas/new year break with plenty of time. When frustrated walked away rather than force anything, was much easier than previous times in the end.
