Does anyone have a fix for the ball joint as mine is breaking up and the mirror flops around.

I have repaired a couple of these in the past but never had the ball disintegrate even though they do get cracks in them. The 3 screws pull a plate on the inside of the mirror against the ball to adjust tension. You've probably worked that out already.
To access the ball socket, the glass has to be removed, which usually ends up with it breaking.
Easiest way out is to take up Stuwey's offer.
If you want to try and fix yours, I have some spare mirror glass cut to size, if that is any help.

Thank you Bill B, just waiting for Stuwey to reply. I wonder who has ball material!
