I have just pulled down a motor for rebuild and the crank has had the counter weights ground down by what looks like a grinder. Hi EST-071 That's a good one I have an S crank that has half the centre counter weights ground away. The reason they do this is it is easier and quicker to grind the counter weights than grind it off the pin area. On some of the cranks I have welded up the counter weights and ground it off the pin area, (as you need all the counter weight you can get) Your crank is a good one it will be fine to use.
