Post subject:  1100 Crank Question

I have just pulled down a motor for rebuild and the crank has had the counter weights ground down by what looks like a grinder. Looks quite rough and would like to know if I should use it again or bin it and find another one.
Have got links to pics below.

Hi EST-071
That's a good one I have an S crank that has half the centre counter weights ground away.
The reason they do this is it is easier and quicker to grind the counter weights than grind it off the pin area.
On some of the cranks I have welded up the counter weights and ground it off the pin area, (as you need all the counter weight you can get)
Your crank is a good one it will be fine to use.
