Although we still dont know what our Lucky One could be, but might help us thurder a step if we can find out the original color.

This shade is present on the whole body as first layer over the brown-orange primer.

It is bright green, nearly yellow. Something like the Citron Green Mr. Bean Mini.

I know a guy with an early 850 in a colour like that - I don't know how to get in contact with him though...

the colour cards here may not go back far enough -> viewtopic.php?f=25&t=66469

Their was a color listed in 1963 chart called Driftwood that looks a bit like that.

The roof suits a one piece headliner which started mid to late 1964 so if the roof is original to the car I would be looking at yellows from 1964 on.

Could be Acacia or Sandalwood - If it has 850 style sunvisors

Thanks for the help Sirs!

The year of the car is still a mistery, but tomorow I will wire brush the outside and the top. If there are weldings, I will find them. 8)

The color is more yellowish then it look on the pictures. It is pretty much like the Citron Green UK color.

We have each type of holes present: the two central hole with captive nut and the two holes for the screws  .

Unintentiously I mislead You.

The car was at least twice sanded back to bare metal, and it looks like I was misslead by the fact that under the bright green layer there was a red one, which I took for granted to be the primer. But today I gaveit another go at the pillar and wanted to verify it by sanding donwn to the metal... just to fing out that the "primer" is not actualy the primer, but rather a red AND a maroon layer... I used 600 grit sand paper to be very gentle, and went down to the metal. Now I think either the white (primer?) or the dark green was the original paint.

The layers from the top to the bottom red ('04), dark green 1 ('94), white high build primer ('94), light brown primer ('94), light green (?), red (?), maroon (?), dark green (?), white (primer?), red-brown factory original primer (65?).

Original colour?
White - Toga white?
Dark Green - Cedar green? Racing green?
