Looking for help on how to remove the wiring so I can rewire.

If this is not possible, where can I get this fitting?

You need to move the crimp locking tab down with a small screwdriver so that the crimp can be pulled out. The photo shows the one with a tab on the left and a non-locking one on the right.

One of those tiny flat screwdrivers helps in getting access to the tang.

the stainless strips that are in some wiper blades are also useful - NB there are 2 widths and the narrower one is the best. I have found that these strips do less damage to the plug than the screwdriver.

It too difficult to remove the pins.

Where are can I get a replacement plastic connector?

Neither my mid- '69 mini K (single speed) nor 8/70 S (2 speed) have the terminal block. The wiring ends in those moulded black plastic insulators, so they are factory original.

Maybe my wipers are only single speed.
LUCAS AUSTRALIA 62971039A 12AUW 4-69 with 4 wires 110 Degree.

This shows the moulded black plastic connectors on my 8/70 S with 2 speed wipers that Bill is talking about. Well, at least the remains after rats had feasted on the wiring insulation.

The moulded connector block appeared sometime in the Clubman/Leyland Mini era.

Four wires suggest two-speed wipers. The first production use was on SPO41 cars from 8/70, so yours may have been fitted by a previous owner.

The cover suggests one speed.

Wrong cover?

Is the wiper switch a two-speed type?

That would make sense to incorporate a terminal block for the harness once 2-speed motors became standard and not just used in special production runs.
My single speed Lucas Aust motor only has 3 terminals on the motor and 3 wires attached to them so 4 terminals is a good indication of being 2-speed.

Wrong cover? That's my thinking.
Is the wiper switch a two-speed type? I have bought a 2 speed switch thinking is a 2 speed wiper.

Three wiper wires with black terminals from my 3/70 S wiring loom. Originally it also had a single speed wiper and switch. I have modified a spare wiper motor to be two speed and have bought a two speed switch. I will probably just add and extra wire (with black terminal) to make the 2 speeds work - will look more original. The other pictures show the clubman 4 pin plug and loom I bought ages ago, which is the same as the plug you pictured.

I just made a connector removal tool with a modified hack saw blade.
