ausmini :: View topic - Leyland LS colours

Hi

I'm starting a refurb of my 1978 Leyland LS and am looking for help on some colours.

The car was originally Silver Blue which the classicregister website lists as: Dulon, Paint Code: 562-30341.

It also had the roof vinyl and large side decals on it that were removed under a previous respray.

Does anyone know what the colour of the:
- side decals is (other than 'dark blue')
- vinyl would have roughly been?

There's this old ad on classicregister that gives some idea of what it would've once looked like - but there's no solid info on the colouring: https://classicregister.com/id-guides/i ... ini-998-ls

I'm guessing there's no chance of getting the right vinyl for it.

I read in the Mini Experience that the blue vinyl is called Mid Royal Blue. It could be in the Trim Handbook but I dont have one to check. Back in the day they would have just ordered it by Part No HYE192. Or had a left over roll from the factory. But now the vinyl may need to be colour matched to another car that hasn't faded too much.
