There are 2 ways to attached this part. Is the correct way shown in the picture or should it be flipped over with the nut on the left?

I do it that way. The ears bolt to the block and the part that grips the dizzy is slightly raised so holds the dizzy higher towards the reinforcing ring... rather than down the bottom where its not reinforced....

And where the witness marks for the 2 setscrews and the distributor reinforcing ring show which way was up.
