Just wondering where I can get replacement advance springs for the above distributor. Also what grease is used internally. |

Given the lack of spares and the high price of that which is available for 29D's would you be better off with a different model? |

The springs should be interchangeable with the 25D, and you can use nearly any brand of distributor springs as long as they give the right curve You might be better off to get a custom curve put in your distributor to match todays fuel and the spec of your engine. Even brand new, the Cooper S was reported to have pinking and the manual asked you to change the base timing pending on the fuel you used |

Springs are springs, as long as they are the right length and strength |

You need the right springs for your engine and modern fuel. As mentioned above this might not be the same as from the factory Any decent distributor shop can graph the curve and adjust it to be correct with the vast selection of springs they have |
