A minimum of 1.5 times the thread diameter, then so they’re equal and the toe is right You can get extended ones for a bit more thread engagement |

Step 1: measure the length of tie rod end you are replacing and compare to the replacement (to check they are the same) Step 2: count the turns when you remove the old unit Step 3: Fit the new unit by winding it on the number of turns you previously counted Step 4: To be sure, get the toe in/out checked |
