Post subject:  Can’t find bleeding nipple

Hi

I am new to mini and I just bought a mini deluxe. The brake pedal has no pressure so want to try to bleed the brake.

I couldn’t find the bleeding nipple on front drum brake. It has 2 brake wheel cylinder.

Anyone can tell me where they are and how to bleed them if there is no bleed nipple? Thanks

Umm.... they’re part of the wheel cylinders that sticks out of opposite side of the backing plate to that shown in your photo.

Cheers, Ian

Ps before you try bleeding make sure you replace the drum.

In your second post first picture the nipple will be behind the track rod, hidden in the photo.

If you're new to minis, and working on old cars in general (which it sounds like you are), it's always best to get it properly serviced by a mini specialist mechanic so you know you have a safe and roadworthy car - especially when it comes to brakes
