I hate being negative, but in the hope this might give them some feedback…. I did try to use them, but their web site is truely awful, like something from 15 years ago - spreadsheet style, no cross links etc etc. Gave up in the end.

I don't buy from Karcraft because they don't have a website that allows online ordering which, in 2023, seems rather antiquated.

KC and BMI do that deliberately, they may even have online ordering that's not accessible to the public.

They're commercial suppliers, they're not in the business of selling parts to someone who wants the "thingumebob that goes under the whatsits but I don't know what its called and gee that's expensive and do you have anything else and my carby is making a funny noise what do you think is wrong"

When I order from KC, I email list of part numbers and quantities at night, then ring and give them my credit card number the next morning - not as painless as ordering online, but I've been buying off them that way for 20 years

They want people who'll just give them a list of part numbers without needing any extra support or advice... we're pretty lucky that they'll deal with us at all, and not insist that every customer has a trade account

Horses for courses

Ditto for me.
I've been buying from Karcraft since he opened his first shop in Smithfield in Sydney in the 1970s, selling BMC/Leyland genuine parts for less than the dealerships.
They are a trade supplier but will sell to individuals in single quantities too, although you have to do some research, as simon k has outlined.

A couple of our customers have brought to our attention this post.

We are an importer and distributor for UK made vehicles.

We started importing Mini parts some 44 years ago. Over that time we have added Land Rover and jaguar plus many other UK brands.

Our staff have in excess of 80 years spare parts expereience with Mini.

Customers can phone or email their requirements and we will gladly work out the correct part number for them.
The supply of part numbers is a help but not really necessary.

We supply a large range of customers and many sell our parts on various websites.
We have no control over where our parts end up.

We have just had in excess of 12,000 kg of parts arrive so our stock holding is quite good.

Regards
Karcraft

Before this gets derailed too much let me say I have no opinion about Karcraft as I have never dealt with them.
My hassles are with bcionline NOT Karcraft.

This thread is not nor ever was aimed at Karcraft.
