Does anyone have any experience of this supplier. I hve been trying to get an account set up but they do not reply to any emails and are taking forever to verify account.
Looks like I will be ordering elswhere. Cannot be bothered with them if they cant be @£$€d

both my orders were just drop shipped from Karcraft. One order was a misleading part number and the other the panel arrived squashed. Luckily I used ebay so I got the first order returned automatically for free but I didn't bother on the second (bad idea).

Previously I had contacted BCI about a part via their website and never got a response.

I therefore learnt that I won't order from Karcraft either as the packaging was so poor.

I’ve had lots of orders from Karcraft and never had an issue with packaging. They’re very helpful if you contact them

I have contacted them multiple times but am yet to get a response.
I would not recommend anyone who cannot be arsed aswering emails from customers.

I am guessing it is someone who decided they could start a business and do minimal work by just drop shipping from Karcraft with listings most likely auto generated.
I didn't return the panel as I thought I would make it work but I did leave feedback. If BCI cared about their business you would think they would respond to fix the problem (or look like they care to other customers) but they didn't.

Based on the ebay feedback it looks like they had a go at a business selling phone accessories first.

Karcraft are great.
Ring them up and they are very helpful over the phone. They post stuff the same day and I generally get it the next.
The few issues i have had, they have sorted for me.
They are my number 1 Australian parts supplier.
It helps they are a wholesaler and so generally their prices are one of the best in Australia.

Before this gets derailed too much let me say I have no opinion about Karcraft as I have never dealt with them.
My hassles are with bcionline NOT Karcraft.

Why not just deal with them via their eBay store?

I've ordered one classic Mini part and several orders of new MINI parts from BCI Online Australia (via eBay) and had no issues. They came from Carrum Downs VIC as indicated in the eBay listing.

I did originally enquire through their website and never heard back like others here, so I'd recommend going direct via their eBay store ( https://www.ebay.com.au/str/bcionlineaustralia )

All orders have arrived quickly and parts were as described. One even had extra parts (x2 of a pair), and when I queried (via eBay) they gifted me the second pair.

In summary, as DavidE said, deal with them via their eBay store. I recommend searching by part number if you have it, given that not all listings have photos.

Evan

Is BCI a different supplier from BMI? I generally buy parts from Minisport in Adelaide, or Minispares UK, both of whom have easy to use websites, simple online ordering and IME good customer service. Don't buy from Karcraft because they don't have a website that allows online ordering which, in 2023, seems rather antiquated.

KC and BMI do that deliberately, they may even have online ordering that's not accessible to the public.

They're commercial suppliers, they're not in the business of selling parts to someone who wants the "thingumebob that goes under the whatsits but I don't know what its called and gee that's expensive and do you have anything else and my carby is making a funny noise what do you think is wrong"

When I order from KC, I email list of part numbers and quantities at night, then ring and give them my credit card number the next morning - not as painless as ordering online, but I've been buying off them that way for 20 years

They want people who'll just give them a list of part numbers without needing any extra support or advice... we're pretty lucky that they'll deal with us at all, and not insist that every customer has a trade account

+1

I have used them as they have had parts that I couldn't find anywhere else in Australia and or they were cheaper. Only issue is they seem to have a lot of stuff out of stock.
