I have a quick shift on the clubman which struggles to go into 1st when stationary. ie if I reverse then stop then go for first it is hard to get, it feels like it runs out of movement. If I go to 2nd then 1st it goeas in easier. Similarly if I am slowing and costing to a junction and select 1st before stop it goes in but I f I stop then try 1st it struggles to go in. All other gears are fine, 3rd has a syncro wearing but that is another story.
My question is, is this a shift problem or a gearbox issue. There may be some wear 8n the collar and roll pins but I am unwilling to fix these if it will make it worse.
Any thoughts?
