I am cleaning a 1973 Lucas Australia distributor.
I have come across this style of distributor which does not have the usual screw attachment for holding the cam to the main shaft.
It appears to have a circlip replacing the older screw method.

How is the circlip removed to access the centrifugal weights, or is this a disposable 'sealed unit'?

I've had a few of these, (43D) not managed to get one apart yet. I think it's rivetted over, not a circlip?
I've welded and filed the stop to reduce max advance, without pulling the shaft apart.
