Hi there, I'm a self confessed clubman lover and one day would love to own an original aussie Clubman GT. Does anyone here own a GT and if so do you have any photos you could post? I would especially love to see some interior photo's. Apart from that would love to hear any feedback about your Clubman GT and how it drives etc. Cheers, BC. PS: Here's a brilliant website I found the other night for all of you other aussie GT lovers. http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~gavin.agnew/pg2.html |

full kudos to you mate - looks like you're doing a brilliant job. Are you painting it all there - under your carport?? How long did it take you to get it to bare metal? Did you use paint stripper or just grind it straight off?? I have a million questions about this stuff as I'm thinking of re-storing my little brown baby(since it was pinched) and have never done anything like it before. Good luck with the rest of the project - can't wait to see the finished product! |

lol. Thanks mate.... ask away... 1.) yes painting under the carport. (acrylic paint) just got to pic the good days to do painting. lol 2.) Combination of paint stripper and wire wheels and stripping disks. inside did all with wire wheel. out side mainly paint stripper then wire wheel to clean up in corners.. did not take long at all. only got the car a few months ago.. ![]() the treed on the car is here in mini chat project evil 850.. so keep a eye on it for updates. to sum up the project... it is going that yellow with twin black stripes over the whole car. debumpered. flip/removable front. all adj. suspention. disks. costom wheels. and a 1257 stroker turbo ![]() |

Nothing.. i just made it into a little compartment.. to tidy it up a little.. and i think over there in the UK the have a hell of alot more round nose minis compared to clubby's so maybe thats why they are doing the swap.. ![]() ![]() out here. its really the other way around.. WOW! Just saw these pics now!! What a beautiful job on the GT. As much as I'm love original mini's I've gotta give credit here - very very nice. Are the twin tanks polished? Looks awsome. And love the plates. You must have some serious spare time on your hands GT. I've got a wife, a 4yr old and a 1yr old so my project is going to probably take me .... well ages. Lets just say that I should finish it in time for when my son starts learning to drive ![]() It's pretty inspiring to see what can be done with some time, TLC and dare I say - a fair few dollars ![]() Thanks for sharing your pics. |

lol. Thanks mate. I have had that clubby for 7 years now. and it only made it on the road this year. It was a farther/son project with my dad when I was 17... got most of it done apart from the paint. then joind the air force and moved away.. my dad finished it off at the start of this year and shipped it up to me in Syd. yeah they can take time. I am single and 24 work full time. so i got the spare time and the money. lol The project evil is starting to cost the $$ custom wheels were near 2000 alone.. new disks $1850, race seats $600, full adj suspention, $800 so many more things to get.. lol But you only live once so fark me I am going to have fun doing sh1t I wanna do. ![]() like I said feel free to PM me if you have Q about doing paint work or ask away on the forum.. there are lots of people that have the know how.. ![]() Cody |
