Do I really need this rocker cover breather which goes back to the carbs? Is it just PCV being re-burnt? Is the clutch case breather and vented cap sufficient for crankcase breathing? Considering going to an alloy style rocker cover without the breather. Something like this one? https://minisport.com.au/products/mini- ... chrome-cap |

A PCV is a separate part which plumbs the breathers into the intake manifold. Depending on the engine and how much blowby it has it might need 2 breathers that are open to atmosphere. A single breather connected to a PCV or CCV system would be another option Yours is currently setup as a CCV system which is a good option. You could run the flywheel breather to the carbs and ditch the rocker breather |

Just a question if Hanra decides to ditch the return to carb type breather. What 'tune' difference does it make once the recirculated gas is no longer in the mix ( pun intended) . Example - no noticable change , will it just require a tiny tweak to the richness, or does it need height change on the needle or a different needle altogether? |

My limited experience with using the breather port on my HS4/998 engine was that if you block up the CCV ports on the carbs it does make a noticeable change to the tune and it would require retuning. |

Is that even "correctly" setup as it is? I wouldn't have thought they would have had the CCV connected to the rocker cover and have a vented cap. Connecting the CCV port to the breather near the flywheel is probably a much better solution, especially removing that filter on it. |
