Out for a run today, all good until about a km from home when the engine just died. No misfire, no warning just stopped firing. It will be the coil or something in the dissy but I cannot be fagged being out in the shed while its hot. No 1 son helped me tow it home and winch it i to the shed. |

Manufacturers don't seem to know how to create points with the correct spring tension. Maybe that contributed? I had some points from bareco (a tractor supplier) for a Lucas distributor which had so much tension that they exceeded the scale of my tester. They had well over twice the spring tension that they should've. I had a set of points from minispares where the contact cracked. Edit: I keep remembering more points issues. I had another new set of points (for a 25d) where they couldn't even be set to have a gap. |

I find the L19 points from REPCO are rubbish. Point gap is hard to set. Think the rubbing block is not right. I get mine from Matty Reed. |

I've had no issues with the L19V points but I do set them the proper way - with a dwell meter. In fact there was constant issues on that mini until the Fuelmiser points and condenser was fitted. Facet in Italy who manufactures them for Fuelmiser has discontinued most mini ignition components but not those yet when I last checked. The discontinued products are now supplied by someone else, no idea who. |

If auspost ever delivers the points I have ordered I will let you know ow how they go. I am surprised auspost does live tracking, it tells everyone how slack they are. |
