Looking for recommendations on a head gasket for a 1275. The block is a 9FSaY and head 12G940 (11 stud). From what I can tell - there are 3 options for a composite gasket (not wanting copper). * Payen AF470 * Payen BK450 * Victor Reinz GUG702560VR From what I can tell the AF470 is the one to go for, but wanted to check. Also wondering if I should replace the head studs with ARP studs while its all off? I've got no reason to think the existing studs are stretched (suspect they are originals) but seems like an ideal time to do it. |

I've used all 3 and others over 50 years, BK450s got hard to get so I'm running an AF470. I found one of the water holes not quite right on the Victor Reinz one but they work OK. I don't trust copper gaskets now, they've not been the same since they took asbestos out eons ago. |
