Post subject: | New mini (and others) electronic distributor |
I was looking at Marcel Chichaks' web page (tried to do multipoint fuel injection on the 5 port head) Anyway I saw a link to this site: http://tdcperformance.ca/ I don't know wether Marcel has anything to do with it but interesting all the same Quote: The 123/Mini offers curves designed with the tuner in mind: four groups of four related curves present a logical step-wise progression that will dramatically reduce the time needed to find an optimum ignition advance curve for your particular engine formula working under your particular conditions. No distributor has ever offered so many choices in one package so you can wave goodbye to spark scatter, shaft wobble, inappropriate advance curves and impossible to find tuning parts.

Quote: 123 Ignition Distributor
The Mini distributor is currently available for pre-A+ engines only. The Mini A+ distributor is planned for production later this year. This ignition system is also available for MG and Triumph. $ 425.00 er...I'll stick with my $40 Pulsar Dizzy thanx ![]() |

Marcel designed and is selling it. Good concept but... I'll keep my 3 Pulsar dizzys, too... ![]() |

Hey gang! Yea, that's my piece of work. I designed the curves and had input into the physical design. Now I've got exclusive rights to the thing... not that I expect to be able to quit my day McJob because of it ![]() I can't believe my Hitachi distributor thang has spread around the world! If I had a dollar for each one that's been modified for a Mini, well, I'd likely be able to quit my day McJob!! If a Hitachi is doing the job for you and the curve is working, by gum, stick with it! I did the 123/Mini distributor for Miniacs that want to get the best possible ignition, without having to modify a Hitachi, but also have a wide choice of ignition advance curves availalble without havigng to find a distributor machine and someone to wind springs. |
