Hello was wondering if someone can please give me some advice in regards to removing a couple of things from Granny..

What I would like to know is how do you get the heater tap out? Like is this a major job? As I think mine is frozen as it wont move. The cable seems to move alright just that tap doesnt want to move. Can this also be repaired or do I have to buy a new one and if so where would I get one from?

Also can anyone tell me how to get the black trim out from around the dash? The cardboard and vinyl one that runs along the front firewall and also covers up the left hand side of the speedo housing? As I had a go at doing it today but I was scared I would break it so I stopped. So was wondering if there is any trick to this or do I have to pull something else off to get it out?

Thanks..

my heater tap was the same on mine this is how i did it->

removed the 3 bolts holding the heater one is behind the swiches and then there are two on the firewall thingo, then once the heater is loose it is easy to remove the tap.

my tap was chocka with orange rust and i just used degreaser and coathanger wire to clean it. once it is clean i opened and closed it heaps till it was nice and smooth again.

btw if your heater tap is blocked there is a good chance the heater radiator and heater hoses are not very clean eaither
