Well................... my original budget was for that amount........ it's now gone well past 20k and will climb further with the issues regarding the engine..........

You going to do most of the work yourself marc?

well when i started mine the budget was set at 10 grand. That was to get a clubbie that was standard, unroadworthy and on its way to the wreckers to what it is today. All up it cost me 10 grand to build the car + engineers and rego.

It will probably be the cheapest mini built to feature in mini world :D

what i am thinking of doing is taking subframes out myslef sending it to panel beaters and gettiing all the body and rust work done then returned to me and i will have a go at spraying it and building up the subframes and some of the brake stuff
then getting Matt to build me an engine and put it in
soooo i guess i will do as mush as possible with what i got which aint much
but it s all fun hey

well the way i see it is i probably am better throwing money at the engine and mechanics rather then the paint as i can always throw more money at that in a few years if you know what i mean and if i get the panel work done by a pro it shouldnt be a prob

Very, very nice car, all the more impressive when you take into account the $7K budget. Great work Aaron.

it would end up closer to 10g when the interior is done and you add up the non wife stuff bought.

But it does show that you can learn and do it yourself.
Just ask Jam
Cheers

i didnt have a budget, but the cost of the car, you know this and that, did the paint/work here at home, could say on a roughtimate area +-$500, id say about 7k.. thats neally 5 years of owning the thing aswell..

thats suzuki gti, modded rego'd etc etc..

but i recently took out a 5k loan , complete mods so far are

roll cage, 13x6' supers, new steering wheel, boost, oil pressure guages, front mount intercooler.. mallpassi fuel reg, new pistons, 2nd hnd crank, short shift lever and knob and a few other things, still have around the low 2g mark, need that for the manifold and a few other things, but yeah brad, if you done it for 10k , nice work :)
