Just been at Mini in the Park and came across an amazing Mini trailer. Just thought that I's share. 8) 8) 8)

The indicator/brake cluster looks like early Ford Cortina.

Having a back-to-front trailer would annoy the crap out of me..... its pointing the WRONG BLOODY WAY!!!!!

And the paint is a mismatch to the car's colour...

Doesn't really grab me, but gives me an idea
- how about grafting a front & rear together so that you have an opening bonnet & boot :idea:

But then where would the wheels go so that it was balanced? :?

Two rear ends joined together would be cool. The weak point visually on most mini trailers is the flat front, which looks, well, like someone welded a sheet of steel on it. But two rear ends joined back to back, with the "front" wheel arches filled in and the whole thing blended front to back. Maybe even use the roof to top it off.

It would use up that field of old Mk I Coopers I have in the top paddock...

Thats the best thing I've seen yet with a round nose.You would never,ever do this with a "clubby" front end!!! Mind you the Mk1 Cortina taillamps are one of the better things about this.

XR Falcon (1967 model, not modern XR6) would also fit and look better IMHO.

Prefer the Mini-Boot type trailer myself. Or a half-van.

OK so let's build one of these, put a 1380 in there, make it run backwards (not hard) and hey presto we've got a 4WD Mini!
Gearshift could be a problem, so let's make that a 1430 auto! :P

Doc, did you ever see the powered trailers that were used in the 60's (the days of low powered trucks) They were usualy a dog trailer behind a rigid truck with a Bedford 330 motor and an Allison auto. When you got to a bill hill like Lapstone or Mt. Victoria you would start the motor on the trailer and slip it into drive and double your power! :wink:

Turn the motor around in the trailer or use those axles with the step gears out of the kombi.
