Sometimes it takes alot of luck to get something at a good price on eBay...... like I did today.

Must say that unlike OTHER people, Im pretty happy with 99% of the sellers I have dealt with. As long as I receive what Ive paid for, I wont complain.

Yeah I saw those, but I need the stepped type and besides my rear drums have very little wear. Great win though... |

So do I. DIdn't notice the lack of "step" til after I won (didnt expect to win with my bid)..... but maybe I might use some spacers...... or use these drums to bargain for other parts I need...... I wont lose at that price anyway. |

That's for sure. Just use spacers. You'll have to tell me how much lighter it is compared to the regular drums |

Dylan recently bought 2 brand new spacers - the stepped ones - I think he paid somewhere in the vicinity of $70 or $80 for each one. He's happy coz he can now stop as well as go. 
Anyway, that would have to be the going price for them I would think. Hooroo |

Huh? what do you guys mean by stepped drums? These are spacer drums right? there is the bit that spaces the wheel out where the fins join to the solid middle bit. Have I missed something? if I have what are stepped drums for? |

The drum pictured about is just a normal drum, a stepped drum has from 3/4 to 1" extra meat where the wheel face bolts to the drum. |

I was just looking at the ebay photos I couldn't get how if they stepped out from the photo shown why they wouldn't widen the track but the inside is machined to bring the drum back in (insert AH...Ha here) I was thinking the inside bit would be a good place to put the spacer so no one would see it  but this would push the drum out as well and it would be too far from the backing plate

Here is a comparison. The non-stepped version that I have bought. 
Now, a different brand, but it shows what a "stepped" version looks like. Note - LOTS of step hanging out
