Battery Box, it the perfect size. You can buy them new from Karcraft. It will need to be welded in and "technically" you should have it engineered as it is a part of the firewall.

Cheers

it will all depend on the depth you need. a battery box would be a good starting point and it you don't need it as deep, trim to depth you need. Easy enough to do.

Hey Jim, come over and have a look at one of the Mk1 S's that Lance bought (when we get them back). One has an absolute perfect Weber box in the firewall. It's really well done. Take pics, measurements....if you wanna help lift the shell onto the trailer when we pick it up, you can talk to the guy who did it.

Bah ha ha ha ha...... good one mate.

I don't think it will be for a few weeks.....I have stuff on every weekend for the next 3 weeks. Plenty of notice to come over and lift a couple of Mk1 S shells :P

The one with the Weber box is a restorer, the other rusty one is FUBAR. :(

We really just need help lifting onto and then off the trailer. Easy with a couple of guys. I lifted one of these shells myself, just to check the weight.

I've seen them made from alloy and pop rivetted in place (Baracade's old car).
Not much strength in that panel on a roundnose, it already has a bloody big hole in it...
