Are the after market steering boses for the early minis and the clubmans different in length ? If so which is longer ? l know the splines are the same.

Can't answer your question mate but thought I might just ask you if boss kits include all the parts to connect the spline on the steering column to the bare steering wheel and where is the cheapest place to buy them from. Been quoted $115 from supercrap.

I have an early Mini MotaLita one and a later Mini SAAS one. The MotaLita is around 25mm longer- ie the wheel centre is closer to you. :wink:

Took 3mm off the back in the lathe to clear the Mini shroud, it fits the splines perfect! :lol:

Clubby are different to roundy, according to Auto One. I believe this applies to Autotechnica.

Clubby and late roundy are the same. Early roundy with horn push was different. But splines are the same. If you have the MK2 or later blinkers/headlights/horn switch you can use either.
