Ok a question for the wise... If you had a choice of either 12" or 13" wheels to put onto your Mini, what would you pick?? |

12" for sure, 13's don't handle as well imo. |

Depends on what's more important to you. Looks or practicality. A 12" setup would be cheaper for the initial purchase and new tyres later on. |

I'm in the process of swapping 12's for 13's. I hope it's OK, but the outside diameter of the tyres I'm getting is bugger all difference to the ones I have so It should be fine. Reckon they'll look good too ![]() |

mmmmm 13's ![]() ![]() i was cornering at wakefield park pretty much on par with the other minis running 10 and 12 inch's. Ive only got crappy $90 SIME tyres on them, i think with a set of yoko's or pirelles on them they would be even better. 12's are a good too, look like 13's most the time, but not much choice with tyres. |

I know the simes Brad's talking about are significantly cheaper than I've been paying for 12 inch falkens. |

yeh my simes were $75 each when i got mine, there not as grippy as my old yoko a008's i had on the 10's. Next tyre i will get is yoko a539 around $140 each. Have been told there very similar to the pirellies that go for $190 a tyre. I think there are about 6-7 street tyres to choose from in 13 inch, best being the TOYO RA1 street/race tyre in 185/60/13.....these will not last long for a daily driver though. There are about 2 types of 12 inch tyres in the 165/60/12, and also a 145/60/12. |
