I read a lot about HIF44 SU's....but nothing about HIF38's.

Are they any good?

A 38 is a 1.5 i am pretty sure. It would probably be bettter suited to a 998 than a 44. Gotta be better than a std 1.5

so...from what you were saying about HIF carbs, an HIF would be better than an HS. So as you say, if a HIF44 is good for a 1275, then yes, an HIF38 would be good on a 998/1098.

Cool.

HIF series carbs run on rollers and hence have a better throttle response as there is a decrease in drag of the piston on the walls inside the carb. Better carbs, unfortunatly you don't see too many in australia in comparison to the UK. I will be rebuildin my hif44 and popping it on putt putt wih a suitably sized needle and spring. Will see what it is like. Then i may just have to look at that 12g295 i have sitting in the shed...... Putt putt may just start to pull the skin off the rice!

As long as he doesn't hit you with that "sellers std postage rate" 35 quid seems excessive. Should cost 10 pounds to aus.

thinking thought you will send that to your bro though won't you.... that really has its advantages.
nice find. But what are you going to put it on?

Cheers

yea that will be sent to my bro in London. He is coming back here in 2 weeks for a holiday

?35 to OZ is a BIG rip off, but I can wear the ?12 postage to London.

That seller will be pissed when he sees it sold for 1 pence

What's it going on?? It will give me something to tinker with on JAM I guess. I like different options 8)
