Hey Ro,

If you must put a flag on the roof, be a true patriot and put an AUSSIE FLAG on there!

Anton.

as much as i don't like the english, they did create the mini, and we gotta respect that :)

my next sedan will have a british flag on the roof.
plus you don't see many flags on roofs these days do ya?

I'd vote for the checker too. less colours & easier to mark out

Werent early minis brought to Australia in a CKD (Completely Knocked Down Car) kit form from the UK for local assembly at Zetland? Far's I know even though the percentage of localy made panels always increased in never went above the 80 % mark for the round noses. Many Cooper and S's were being imported as a kit in the late 60. Pretty much any Aust. round nose British made to a significant degree.
The mini is still a British Car and anyways with the graphics and colour schemes you choose most people trring to convey a theme, idea or feeling not an actual factual reference (otherwise all the minis with Momo pedals and stering wheels, neons like a vegas church and more power output at the speakers than at the flywheel would be invalid).

I reckon all you have to consider is whether the Union Jack would necesarily match the BRG body, whether you'd be able to do it to a nice finish and will like it, and whether or not checker gonna look just like 700 other cars some of which people have already mentioned.

Cheers
Michael
