ok. for those that Run or have run Turbo minis. (not conversions...

what setups have you had? engine bay pics would be nice..

I am just looking at the best way for me to setup the car. (evil850)

My main thing is atm is if I should mod the bulk head to fit the turbo at the back of the motor.

Now is the time to make the move before i prime and paint the engine bay.

I think this may be the best option as I will have a brake booster and intercooler in there 2, 8)

Thanks in advance

Cody

Also looking to do a turbo setup, got new pistons coming for the 850 guinny pig
Umm, I'd say turbo box, becuase if you are fitting a intercooler and brake booster, these will seriously limit your engine bay space. I take it the brake booster will be standard fitment? ie. Right next to master cylinder area??

Move the brake booster under the dash. Mount the turbo over the gearbox. It can then draw fresh air from behind the grill. Mount the interwarmer in the drivers side wheel arch. Note - you will also need to make a provision for an oil cooler. Absolute must in my opinion if you are turbo'ing it.

o and remember I have no inner gaurds.. FLIP FRONT// so a few things can go out the side over the wheel. ie. washer bottle.

I think I will run the turbo down the back with the mod fire wall. almost time for the Avonbar racing order.

Modding the firewall may mean more efforts are required if it is to be engineered, aren't firewall mods supposed to be engineered?

I'd say defintely go the turbo box. Even if you move the turbo over the clutch housing (that's where I want mine) you've got extra room in the 'bay to run bigger/more/easier pipework.

iv started a turbo manifold for mine its made form 5mm thick mild steel and will house a t2 behind the engine with no firewall mods. only thing that has to be modded is the wastegate auctuater bracket as this will foul the firewall

8) Minimal lag with it so close to the ports

That avonbar firewall box will replace your heater - in more ways than one :)
