OK I have no money to do this but hopefully in the not too distant future I will. Option 1 - What mags fit within the stock clubman guards? Option 2 - I like the standard Clubman S flares, if I install these what wheels are ideal? |

If you get some LS offset contessa's, they will fit on without flairs. To fit the clubby S flairs, you need a bit welded to the arch, then the flair mounts to that. Not sure if ya can do it without that extra bit though. What ever you do, please don't use those plastic screw on flairs, they are ugly and I hate them with a passion! Think about what you are going to do with the car in the future. Things like are you going to put a 1275 in or just disc brakes (a 1275 needs disc brakes). If fitting discs in the future, buying discs for 12" rims is alot cheaper, so 12" mags now. |

Pooee, i 100% agree with you about the screw on flares, god their awful. They were on my wifes clubby, & bogged to the body as a bonus. Doogie |

Doogie, That $5000 Mini K sale fell through pre-Xmas 2004. As I said I was p'd off you know how it goes, WOH is me, I'm not meant to have a mini. So I spent it on my house just to spite myself! Now eight months on I didn't have 5K only 2K so that explains why I have an unregistered unroadworthy clubby! And hense why I probably still dream of that Mini K. Hope this clears up the confusion. Cheers |

Pooee, Thanks for the info on the wheels & flares, I dislike the screw on flares to. They look ok on the really tough looking minis but not a standard clubman. I had a GT years ago and I remember the extra wide lip on the guards. I plan to keep the engine stock so standard brakes will do. I'm not into performance. (yet) |

(yet) I'd look for a set of 10" LS offset Contessa's then. Make sure they are LS offset, else they will stick out. Keep it flairless. Oh... the LS offset is also known as the "Cooper S" offset (as they fit with no flairs). |

The wheels were previously refurbished and bought off Mini Spares and Repairs here in Sydney. I've just upgraded to brand new cooper S discs so have had to buy a set of Mini offset ones instead. Pooee - Are you sure they are known as cooper S offset. They don't fit over s calipers without either spacers, grinding of the calipers or the inside of the wheel? Kevin. |

Kevin, Are they 10" wheels? Maybe you PM me when you do want to sell them with a price. Are you selling tyres as well or wheels only? Hmmm, I think I need a second job.. Tim |

Tim 10x5 contessas, no caps or nuts. 4 only, no tyres (I had brand new yoko A008's but they are going onto the mini offset ones I am just getting refurbished as we speak). when I get them sorted I'll send some pics or post whatever. People do call these things Cooper S offset, but they don't fit straight on- a bit of surgery to calipers is usually needed, and/or maybe a thin spacer.. They can be made to fit, most (all?) Nb racers are running them with S brakes. These wheels were released long after Cooper S production stopped, as said they were for LS 998 Clubby. |
