Both my minis have sprung a water leak and ironically in the same place.
The water is coming out of the back thermostat housing bolt under the washer.
I've tried filing the hole with sealant and refitting the bolt, still leaking.
I was going to try fitting some fibre washers next.
Anyone else had this problem before, and is it common on minis.
Thanks Felix

Sounds like you might need a new thermostat gasket and/or housing. I've noticed on some of my spares the alloy it too pitted to seal.

Unless you get rid of the gaskets and use good old silastic - half the mess in quarter of the time and seals perfectly every time

I use bolts there- this gets rid of the corrosion problem between the alloy and steel studs, as the act of undoing them frees them up. 8)
